The programs of the YMCA-YWCA are open to everyone regardless of their race, creed or economic circumstance. Everyone contributes – donations to Strong Kids helps families who contribute what they can towards the cost of the programs and services. Donations to the Strong Kids Campaign help the Y fund all of the important programs and initiatives that our community expects from us. A donation to Strong Kids is tax deductible.

2010 Strong Kids Campaign

Make a difference today in the life of a child....

After a 2 week stay at Y camp, Cathy and her 2 brothers were picked up by their grandparents following a terrible fire at their apartment in which their Mom had been hurt.  

Although the children had already received Y camperships to attend camp, the camp director made arrangements for the children to return to camp giving the rest of the family time to reorganize their living situation.

These children made great friends and avoided some of the challenges their family faced that summer thanks to the generous donations of people just like you.  More importantly Cathy and her brothers have returned to Y camp over the past few years and now Cathy has moved into a staff role.  

You never know where our next community leaders come from but I suspect Cathy will be one of those leaders.
